Reportedly collected by Rechinger from Parachinar (Riedl, l.c. 249). The above description is based on the isotype. Similar to Nonea edgeworthii, but differing in the smaller nutlet with a smooth basal ring.

Annual up .to 30 cm or more tall, branched, pubescent-hairy; shorter hairs weak, less than 0.5 mm long, intermixed with stouter longer ones with swollen bases. Leaves ± spathulate to lanceolate or oblanceolate, 35-45 x 7-13 mm, denticulate, hairy on both surfaces with short weak hairs. Inflorescence lax, up to 11 cm long. Flowers white, subsessile, bracteate; bracts leafy but smaller. Pedicels up to 2 mm long. Calyx 7 mm long, ½ partite, accrescent and up to 10 mm in fruit, hairy; longer hairs, setose and few; lobes linear lanceolate. Corolla 8 mm long, slightly zygomorphic, tube c. 6 mm long, lobes obtuse, minutely crenulate; annulus hairy; scales hairy. Anthers c. 1.8 mm long, attached c. 4.5 mm from corolla base. Stigma 2-fid. Nutlets 2.5 mm broad, transversely ovoid, brown, back ± rugulose, minutely puberulous; basal ring with smooth raised collar c. 1 mm high.
