A nest of this bee was described by Sakagami and Moure (1967): Nests in wood. Nested in rotten part of hard "imbuia" wood in Brazil. Possibly in old beetle-dug tunnel. Nest Type IIIb, cells directly opening to the main burrow without connecting laterals. 16 cells. Cells not clustered. 5 adult females in the nest, apparently over wintering based on dissection.
