Bryconaethiops macrops is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de Afrikaanse karperzalmen (Alestidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1920 door Boulenger.

大眼齧埃脂鯉為輻鰭魚綱脂鯉目脂鯉亞目鮭脂鯉科的其中一種，為熱帶淡水魚，分布於非洲喀麥隆、剛果河流域，體長可達12公分，棲息在底中層水域，生活習性不明，可做為食用魚。
