Diagnosis: postanal region elongated, resulting in a higher vertebral count, 47-50 (vs. 36-40)(Ref. 94168). 25-28 total anal-fin rays (Ref. 81642, 94168). Distance between bases of anal and caudal fins 4.6-6.9% of standard length; pre-dorsal body depth small, i.e. 6.9-12.0% of standard length; 9-10 soft dorsal-fin rays; interorbital distance 18.2-23.7% of head length; combined premaxillary tooth plate of average width, 18.2-29.1% of head length (Ref. 94168).Description: body (extremely) elongate (Ref. 81642, 94168), with depth varying little from head to body, pre-dorsal body depth 6.9-11.3% of standard length, minimal caudal peduncle depth 6.4-7.9% of standard length, head depth 31.8-44.2% of head length (Ref. 94168), maximal body depth 9.1 to 13.8 times in standard length (Ref. 81642). Branchiostegal membranes mostly fused; 9-10 branchiostegal rays (Ref. 94168). Adipose fin low and rather short, well separated from the dorsal (Ref. 81642, 94168), which has 2 spines, the first one very small (Ref. 81642) and the second longer, 2.5-3.7% of standard length (Ref. 94168), and 9-10 branched rays (Ref. 81642, 94168). 12-13 precaudal and 31-33 caudal vertebrae (Ref. 81642).Colouration: In life, uniform greyish brown dorsally, pale to whitish ventrally; there are no spots or markings on the body or the fins (Ref. 81642, 94168).

Notoglanidium depierrei ( 英語 )

Notoglanidium depierrei is a species of catfish (order Siluriformes) family Claroteidae.[1] This species is endemic to Cameroon where it is known only from its type locality of the Sanaga River Basin.[1] It reaches a length of about 17.2 centimetres (6.8 in) SL.[2] It was formerly considered to be the sole member of the monotypic genus Platyglanis but this has now been synonymised with Notoglanidium.[3]
