Hypostomus hoplonites is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de harnasmeervallen (Loricariidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1988 door Rapp Py-Daniel.
