Metynnis luna is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de echte piranha's (Serrasalmidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1878 door Cope.

亞馬遜銀板魚，為輻鰭魚綱脂鯉目脂鯉亞目脂鯉科的其中一個種，為熱帶淡水魚，分布於南美洲亞馬遜河流域，體長可達8.4公分，棲息在底中層水域，以過濾浮游植物為食，生活習性不明。
