Gorgyra is an Afrotropical genus of grass skippers in the family Hesperiidae. Larvae feed mainly on Connaraceae, including Rourea. Other recorded larval food plants include Drypetes and Macadamia.[2][3] Their habitat is generally lowland tropical rain forest and savanna.

Gorgyra er en gruppe (slekt) av sommerfugler som tilhører familien smygere (Hesperiidae).
Små til middelsstore (vingespenn 20-30 millimeter), brune smygere med forholdsvis smale vinger. Oversiden kan være brun med lyse flekker, eller brun og oransje, undersiden noe lysere med mer markerte tegninger.
Larvene lever på gress.
Slekten er utbredt i Afrika, mest i de sentrale delene.
