General Description

Member of the gregaria group, characterized by: prothorax without marginal setae, sides with well defined reflexion, hind angles right or acute; meta-coxae and sternites 3-5 plurisetose. Black or dark piceous, elytra with more or less pronounced violaceous lustre (sometimes rufinistic), appendages sometimes paler, brownish, but the femora always dark. Length 8.5 to 10.8 mm.
