The genus Aleucosia

The name Aleucosia was created by Edwards as a sub-genus of Comptosia. Yeates reviewed the Lomatiinae in a series of papers and characterised Aleucosia as a genus related to but distinct from Comptosia. The paper cited below also discusses the Australia genera Docidomyia, Oncodosia and Doddosia and provides a key to these genera in Australia. 38 species of Aleucosia are described.
