Koba-chan ライセンス (Licence): GFDL, cc-by-sa-2.5 備考 (Contents): 学名 Miscanthus sinensis、日本名ススキ(薄)の葉は通常は単色であるが、この写真の葉は斑入りと呼ばれている園芸品種の一つである。斑入りには縦縞と横縞模様の品種がある。横縞模様は日本では鷹の羽や矢羽模様に見たてて、この写真の斑入りススキは鷹の羽薄(タカノハススキ)や矢羽薄(ヤバネススキ)と呼ばれている。鷹の羽及び矢羽は日本の家紋の代表的な図案の一つでもある。Scientific name, Miscanthus sinensis has normaly simple color leaf, this image is one of gardening kinds, a leaf with variegation. In japan, a variegation is being called with Fu-iri (斑入り), mean a flecked leaf in english. In japanese culture, these flecked pattern are being called the wing pale of hawk (Taka-no-Ha, 鷹の羽) and the arrow wing (Ya-Bane, 矢羽), then this kind is called Taka-no-Ha Susuki (鷹の羽薄, タカノハススキ) mean pampas grass like the wing pale of the hawk, or Ya-Bane Susuki (矢羽薄, ヤバネススキ) mean pampas grass like the arrow wing. Taka-no-Ha and Ya-Bane are also one of famous kinds of japanese Family crests's design. See also.
