Descrição:

This is a rare emdmic of Israel, the Palestinian Territory and S Lebanon. It belongs to the Oncocyclus irises and the last one to bloom (April). It is distributed in two disjunctive areas : eastern Upper Galilee to S Lebanon and E Samaria (where this pic was taken). It is a protected species, left in only few sites.
