Polypogon monspeliensis (L.) Desf. Introduced/weed. Annual.Native to southern Europe and Turkey, and now a common weed throughout the world per Barkworth. Grows in damp, wet soils usually at lower elevations.Also called Rabbitsfoot Grass and Beardgrass.Growing here with various native species including the yellow-flowering Ranunculus cymbalaria, Eleocharis sp., and Schoenoplectus americanus.July 14, 2012, Millcreek Township, Salt Lake County, Utah at 4,300 ft. elev.
