Im oberen Teil des Baumes ist im Sommer fast tagtäglich ein Kleinspecht tätig. Der Baum stirbt seit Jahren langsam ab, Zweige im oberen Teil sind zentral durchbohrt und z.T. von Ameisen belegt.
