Physical description

I am obliged to separate the species referred to this genus from Derosomus on account of the more approximate hind coxæ; it has, too, the pleural edge of the wingcase but little sinuate. In other characters, except that the scape is not quite so long, Chætopantus seems to agree with Derosomus. The mentum appears to be remarkably slender, and the labial palpi exposed at its apex excessively minute.
