Uredinia hypophyllous, scattered, or somewhat gregarious, small, 0.25-0.5 mm across, soon naked, yellow fading to nearly white, ruptured epidermis evident; urediniospores broadly ellipsoid, 16-22 by 25-33/* ; wall medium thick, 1.5-2/*, evenly but not
densely verrucose, with low papillae.
