Spatularia vreelandii Small, sp. nov
Plant 0.6-2 dm. tall, minutely glandular-pubescent; leaves crowded on the short caudex, the blades spatulate to linearspa tulate, 1.5-6 cm. long, sharply toothed near the apex or above the middle ; scapes solitary or sparingly tufted, loosely paniculate above or rarely with congested cymes ; bracts similar to the leaves, but smaller.
Type collected at Glacier Basin, Montana, Aug. 5, 1901, by F. K. Vreeland, no. 1048. Distribution : British Columbia to Montana and Colorado.
