Plants 4.5-15 cm. tall, glandularpubescent ; leaves densely crowded on the caudices, 8-19 mm. long, the blades 3-lobed at the apex, the lobes oblong or linear-lanceolate, the basal portions of the leaves often elongated ; flower-stalks relatively stout, 1-flowered, each bearing 2-4 leaves ; hypanthium 4-5.5 mm. long at maturity, turbinate at the base ; sepals
ovate, 2.5-3 mm. long, obtuse ; petals broadly obovate, 5.5-6.5 mm. long, clawless ; follicles
9-11 mm. long.
Type locality : ITnalaska.
Distribution : Coast of Alaska, adjacent islands and northeastern Asia.
