Fruticose or suffruticose liana, minutely puberulent to glabrate throughout; leaves membranaceous, broadly ovate, 7-10 cm. long, 5-7 cm. broad, shortly and abruptly acuminate, broadly rounded at the base, the petioles 9-20 mm. long; inflorescences somewhat shorter than the leaves, bearing few to several, rather showy, cream-colored flowers; pedicels 4^5 mm. long; bracts ovate, 1-2 mm. long; calyx-lobes ovate, acuminate, 2-3 mm. long, scarious or only slightly foliaceous, minutely pilosulous externally; corolla infundibuliform, generally pilosulous externally, the tube proper 18-20 mm. long, about 3 mm. in diameter at the base, the throat narrowly conic, 16-18 mm. long, about 7 mm. in diameter at the orifice, the lobes obliquely obovate, 1214 mm. long, arachnoidvillous at the base within, spreading; follicles unknown.
Type i^ocality: Between Escuintla and San Jos^, Guatemala. Distribution: Guatemala.
