Iridomyrmex chasei is an ant belonging to the genus Iridomyrmex. The species was described by Forel in 1902, the species is mainly abundant nationwide in Australia, with an exception of its presence in Tasmania.[2] This species is widely known for its large and highly populated nests.[3]

Iridomyrmex chasei is een mierensoort uit de onderfamilie van de Dolichoderinae.[1][2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1902 door Forel.
