體細長，裸露無鱗；前鰓蓋骨下緣有強硬棘和長圓型瓣膜；尾鰭呈凹尾。D.

HL。僅見於Queensland和台灣。活魚體色帶黃。體裸無鱗，前鰓蓋有一棘，主上頜骨超過眼睛後緣，尾鰭為深色狀，明顯分成上下兩葉尾柄。

Descripció
- Pot arribar a fer 5 cm de llargària màxima.
- És de color groc pàl·lid translúcid amb les aletes grogues i els ulls verd-blau.[6][7]
Hàbitat
És un peix marí, bentopelàgic i de clima tropical, el qual viu a les aigües somes dels esculls costaners.[6]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba al Pacífic: Austràlia[8][9] i Taiwan.[10][11][6][12]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans i de costums nocturns.[13][6]
