Color in life silver gray, translucent on body, variable amount of bright yellow pigment on head and body, most commonly on snout, jaws and throat; side of snout sometimes with dark dots; black caudal spot pupil size or smaller; fins pale; diffuse orange stripe above anal-fin base. Rays: dorsal rays VII,9; anal II,15-17 (usually 16); pectoral 14 (rarely 13 or 15). Lateral line scales 25 + 3-4; median predorsal scales 5-6 (rarely 5). Gill rakers 5-7 + 15-18. Body depth 2.6-3.2 in SL; body width 2.2-2.8 in depth; eye diameter 2.7-4.4 in HL; first dorsal spine 1.1-1.4 in second spine; second dorsal spine 2.2-3.0; third dorsal spine 2.3-3.0 in HL; spine of second dorsal fin 2.6-3.1, and second anal spine 3.4-4.5 in HL; pelvic-fin length 4.5-5.8, and caudal-peduncle length 4.5-5.4 in SL. Distance from insertion of pelvic spine to anal-fin origin 4.5-5.7 in SL. Preopercular edge smooth except for serrae at angle and on posterior half of ventral edge. Scaly sheath along anal-fin base poorly developed.

Archamia bleekeri és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels apogònids.[5]
Descripció
- Pot arribar a fer 10 cm de llargària màxima.
- És de color gris platejat i translúcid.
- Aletes pàl·lides.
- 7 espines i 9 radis tous a l'aleta dorsal i 2 espines i 15-17 radis tous a l'anal.[6][7]
Alimentació
Menja larves i ous de peixos, gambes i poliquets pelàgics.[8]
Hàbitat
És un peix marí, associat als esculls i de clima tropical que viu entre 3 i 21 m de fondària.[6][9]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba des de la costa oriental d'Àfrica fins a Durban (Sud-àfrica), el golf d'Oman, l'Índia, Sri Lanka, Tailàndia, Singapur, Indonèsia,[10] Taiwan[11] i Queensland (Austràlia).[12][6][9][13][14]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans.[6]

Archamia bleekeri, also known as Gon's cardinalfish, is a species of fish in the family Apogonidae, the cardinalfishes. It is native to the coastal waters of the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean from Africa to Indonesia and from Taiwan to Queensland, Australia. This species occurs in mangrove forests and reefs, and is an inhabitant of shipwrecks, preferring silty areas with muddy or sandy substrates. This species grows to a total length of 10 cm (3.9 in).[1] This species is the only member of its genus. The other species were moved to the new genus Taeniamia in 2013.[2][3]
