Scartella nuchifilis (Valenciennes 1836)

Oviparous, distinct pairing (Ref. 205).

Adults occur on the rocky shores of coastal waters (Ref. 5298). Oviparous. Eggs are demersal and adhesive (Ref. 205), and are attached to the substrate via a filamentous, adhesive pad or pedestal (Ref. 94114). Larvae are planktonic, often found in shallow, coastal waters (Ref. 94114).

Scartella nuchifilis is a species of combtooth blenny found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, in the Ascension Islands. This species reaches a length of 6.6 centimetres (2.6 in) SL.
