Adults inhabit clear lagoon and seaward reefs (Ref. 9710), usually the lower surge zone to deeper areas. They hide in deserted worm tubes when alarmed (Ref. 1602). They feed by attacking other fishes and removing dermal tissue, mucus and sometimes scales; occasionally makes harmless 'attacks' on divers (Ref. 2334, 48636). Some individuals usually strike from behind and quickly dive in the reef for cover to avoid punishment (Ref. 48636). Their wriggling swimming mode possibly mimics other non-scale eating species. Oviparous. Eggs are demersal and adhesive (Ref. 205), and are attached to the substrate via a filamentous, adhesive pad or pedestal (Ref. 94114). Larvae are planktonic, often found in shallow, coastal waters (Ref. 94114). Minimum depth of 1 m reported from Ref. 90102.

3。背鰭連續無缺刻；背鰭、臀鰭和尾柄相連；尾鰭內凹形，具梳狀後緣。頭部在眼下緣以上為褐色，頭下半部灰白色；體灰白至淺褐色，自眼至尾鰭末端有一黑褐色縱帶，縱帶上具明暗不同的橫紋；縱帶上方在背鰭基部另具一細縱帶；背鰭背鰭基部色淡，末端棕色，鰭緣具一細白線；臀鰭與背鰭相同；除尾鰭內側軟條外，尾、胸和腹鰭灰白色。

Die Klavier-blennie (Plagiotremus tapeinosoma) is 'n vis wat voorkom in die Indiese-Pasifiese area en aan die ooskus van Afrika vanaf die Rooisee tot by Valsbaai. In Engels staan die vis bekend as die Piano blenny.
Voorkoms
Die vis het 'n gepunte kop met die mond onder die snoet en het geen sylyn nie. Die dorsale vin is lank en die bekken vin is klein. Daar is skerp tande in die kake. Die vis is bruin kleurig met 16 - 20 vertikale swart strepe op die sye. Dié strepe is bo-op 'n horisontale wit lyn wat strek van die snoet tot by die stertvin. Die vis word 12 cm lank.
Habitat
Die vis kom voor in koraal en rots riwwe in water wat 5 – 32 m diep is en vreet die vel, skubbe en slym van groter visse. Hulle huiwer ook glad nie om skubaduikers te byt nie. Die vis is alleenswemmers en kom soms in klein groepe voor.

Hàbitat
És un peix marí de clima tropical i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 8-30 m de fondària.[4][7]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba des del Mar Roig i l'Àfrica Oriental fins a les Illes de la Línia, les Illes Marqueses, les Tuamotu, el sud del Japó i Nova Zelanda.[4][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15]

Vissen Plagiotremus tapeinosoma is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van naakte slijmvissen (Blenniidae).[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1857 door Bleeker.

Aspidont wieloplamek (Plagiotremus tapeinosoma) – gatunek ryby z rodziny ślizgowatych (Blenniidae).
Występowanie
Ocean Indyjski i Pacyfik od Morza Czerwonego i wschodniej Afryki (po zatokę False Bay) na zachód po Markizy i wyspę Tuamotu na wschodzie, oraz od południowej Japonii na północy, po Nową Zelandię na południu.
Występuje na rafach oraz w lagunach na głębokości 8 – 30 m. W razie zaniepokojenia kryje się w opuszczonych rurkach rurkoczułkowców.
Cechy morfologiczne
Osiąga 14 cm długości. W płetwie grzbietowej 7 – 9 twardych i 34 – 39 miękkich promieni, w płetwie odbytowej 2 twarde i 22 – 28 miękkich promieni. W płetwach piersiowych 11 – 13 promieni, w płetwach brzusznych 1 twardy i 3 miękkie promienie.
Wzdłuż boków około 20 poprzecznych ciemnych pręg.
Odżywianie
Żywi się fragmentami skóry i śluzu innych ryb, które zazwyczaj atakuje od tyłu po czym natychmiast ucieka. Czasami niegroźnie atakuje również nurków.
Rozród
Dobiera się w pary. Ikra jest przyklejana do podłoża.
Znaczenie
Hodowany w akwariach.
