Willenz & Hajdu (2022) reported the species distribution as "This is the southernmost record of the species on the Pacific coast of South America, with specimens collected from Cancas and Punta Sal (03°55' S and 03°57' S – Tumbes Region) and El Ñuro (04°13' S – Piura Region)".
