體長圓而側扁。頭大。吻長。眼大。D. VI-I，9；A.
II，8。體淡紅褐至透明，腹部銀白；體側自吻端貫穿眼部至鰓蓋後緣具一黑褐色縱帶；尾柄具一與瞳孔同大之眼斑。第一背鰭前半部具黑褐色斑塊，第二背鰭具水平縱帶；餘鰭皆透明。

Vissen Fibramia thermalis is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van kardinaalbaarzen (Apogonidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1829 door Cuvier als Apogon thermalis.
