Hypogeophis is a genus of caecilians in the family Grandisoniidae.^[1]^[2] The genus consists of four species, all endemic to parts of the Seychelles Archipelago.^[1]^[2]^[3]

Hypogeophis – rodzaj płaza beznogiego z rodziny Indotyphlidae.

Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące na Seszelach^[3].

Hypogeophis: gr. ὑπογαιος hupogaios „pod ziemią, podziemny”, od ὑπο hupo „pod”; γαια gaia „ziemia, grunt”; όφις óphis „wąż”^[2].
