The larvae feed on Quercus coccifera and Quercus ilex. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine is found on the upperside of the leaf.

Phyllonorycter pseudojoviella is een vlinder uit de familie van de mineermotten (Gracillariidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1974 door Deschka.[1]
