The larvae feed on Ribes species. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine has the form of a tentiform mine on the underside of the leaf.

Phyllonorycter ribefoliae is een vlinder uit de familie van de mineermotten (Gracillariidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1939 door Braun.[1]
