Climbers or lianes. Leaves ± sessile. Flowers in axillary and terminal cymes. Sepals ovate to subcircular. Corolla with short tube; lobes oblong. Corona of 5 simple lobes adnate to staminal column. Anthers 4-locular, with fimbriate membranous appendages. Pollen gathered in 4 small pollinia attached to a soft pale corpuscle. Follicles paired.

Secamone és un gènere que pertany a la família de les apocinàcies amb 162 espècies[2] de plantes fanerògames.

Descripció

Són arbustos, enfiladisses subarbustives o herbàcies que assoleixen els 6 m d'alçada, amb brots glabres o puberulosos. Les fulles són coriàcies de 0,6-7,5 cm de llarg i 0,2-3,5 cm d'ample, estretament el·líptiques a ovades, basalment cuneades. L'àpex és obtús, agut o acuminat, glabres o pubescents, amb diminutes estípules.

Les inflorescències són axil·lars, més curtes o més llargues que les fulles adjacents, amb poques a moltes flors, laxes o condensades. Els peduncles són més llargs o més curts que els pedicels filiformes, glabres o pubescents.

Skamona[1] (Secamone) je rod rostlin z čeledi toješťovité. Jsou to liány a šplhavé keře se vstřícnými jednoduchými listy a drobnými bílými, žlutými nebo zelenavými, pětičetnými květy. Rod zahrnuje asi 80 druhů a je rozšířen v tropech Starého světa. Nejvíce druhů roste na Madagaskaru. Některé druhy mají využití v medicíně.

Popis

Skamony jsou polodřevnaté liány nebo šplhavé a výjimečně i přímé keře. Listy jsou vstřícné (na zkrácených větévkách někdy zdánlivě přeslenité), čárkovité, vejčité až téměř okrouhlé, řapíkaté, na ploše často průsvitně tečkované. Květy jsou drobné, o průměru od 1,5 mm až přes 1 cm, uspořádané v úžlabních nebo vrcholových, přisedlých nebo krátce stopkatých vrcholících. Kališní lístky jsou na okraji brvité. Koruna je bílá, žlutá nebo zelenavá, kolovitá, s krátkou trubkou. Korunní cípy se překrývají směrem doprava. Pakorunka je obvykle zdvojená. Vnější kruh je redukován na příčný val, laloky vnitřního kruhu jsou ze stran zploštělé a připojené ke gynostemiu. Nitky tyčinek jsou volné nebo na bázi srostlé. Semeník je lysý, s hlavatou až krátce kuželovitou bliznovou hlavou. Plodem jsou hladké měchýřky obsahující vejcovitá semena.[2][3]

Rozšíření

Rod skamona zahrnuje asi 80 druhů. Je rozšířen v Africe, na Madagaskaru, tropické a subtropické Asii a Austrálii.[3] Na Madagaskaru a přilehlých ostrovech roste 69 druhů. Z Africké pevniny je udáváno 19 druhů, areál rozšíření sahá od Senegalu po Kapsko na jihu a severní Somálsko na východě. Jeden druh roste na ostrově Sokotra. Rod je zastoupen i na dalších ostrovech a souostrovích v Indickém oceánu: Mauricius, Réunion, Rodrigues, Seychely, Zanzibar, Pemba (ostrov) a Komory. V Asii sahá areál rozšíření od jižní Indie a Srí Lanky přes jižní Čínu a jihovýchodní Asii po východní Austrálii a Novou Kaledonii.[2] V Číně se vyskytuje 6 druhů, které rostou v lesích a keřové vegetaci v nadmořských výškách do 800 m.[3] Na africké pevnině má široké rozšíření zejména druh S. africana.[4]

Ekologické interakce

Páchnoucí květy kapského druhu Secamone alpinii jsou opylovány zejména mouchami.[5] Na listech S. elliptica (a některých jiných zástupcích toješťovitých) se v Austrálii živí housenky pohledného babočkovitého motýla Tirumala hamata[6]

Význam

Kořeny asijského druhu S. elliptica jsou v Číně používány při léčbě revmatismu a traumatických zranění.[3]

V botanických zahradách se sekamony téměř nepěstují. Blíže neurčený druh je uváděn pouze ze sbírek Pražské botanické zahrady v Tróji.[7]

Descripción

Son arbustos, enredaderas sufrútices o herbáceas que alcanzan los 6 m de altura; con brotes glabros o puberulosos. Las hojas son coriáceas de 0.6-7.5 cm de largo y 0.2-3.5 cm de ancho, estrechamente elípticas a ovadas, basalmente cuneadas, el ápice obtuso, agudo o acuminado, glabras o pubescentes; con estípulas diminutas.

Las inflorescencias son axilares, más cortas o más largas que las hojas adyacentes, con pocas a muchas flores, laxas o condensadas,los pedúnculos más largos o más cortos que los pedicelos filiformes, glabras o pubescentes.

Secamone R.Br., 1810 è un genere di piante della famiglia Apocynaceae, che comprende un centinaio di specie diffuse in Madagascar, Africa, Asia e Australia.

Descrizione

Comprende prevalentemente specie con fusti rampicanti che si avvolgono a spira attorno ai tronchi e ai rami degli alberi, ma anche alcune specie a crescita arbustiva.[1]
I fiori, di colore dal bianco al giallo, sono raccolti in infiorescenze ascellari o terminali. Le antere sono quadriloculari, dotate di appendici membranose fimbriate, e contengono quattro piccoli pollinii.[2]
I frutti sono dei follicoli appaiati.

Distribuzione e habitat

È il genere con l'areale più esteso della sottofamiglia Secamonoideae. È presente in Madagascar, ove si concentra la maggiore biodiversità, e in numerose altre isole dell'oceano Indiano (Comore, Mauritius, La Réunion, Rodrigues, Seychelles, Socotra, Zanzibar e Pemba). Nell'Africa continentale il suo areale si estende dalla Provincia del Capo sino al Senegal, alla Repubblica Centrafricana e alla Somalia. In Asia è presente in Sri Lanka e nell'India meridionale, in Cina meridionale, spingendosi attraverso il Sud-est asiatico sino all'Australia e alla Nuova Caledonia.[3][4][5][6][7]
