Lepetidae is a family of sea snails or small, deep-water true limpets, marine gastropod molluscs in the clade Patellogastropoda the true limpets.
This family consists of the two following subfamilies (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005):

De Lepetidae of diepwatermutsen is een familie van weekdieren die behoort tot de onderklasse Patellogastropoda van de klasse der Gastropoda (buikpotigen of slakken). Deze familie werd door J.E. Gray in 1850 ingevoerd.
Ze hebben kleine, dunschalige, meestal vrijwel kleurloze, schotel- of mutsvormige horens met een glad of zwakgeribd oppervlak. Het zijn dieren zonder ogen.
Lepetidae komen voornamelijk voor in het Arctische gebied en in dieper water, onder andere langs de Noorse kust. Fossiel komen soorten in het Noordzeegebied tijdens het Plioceen voor.

本科物種分佈於韩国[2][4]、台湾[2][5]、日本[2][5]及日本海沿岸的俄羅斯海域[6]。
根據布歇特和洛克羅伊的腹足類分類 (2005年)的分類，本科物種大致可分為兩個亞科[3]：
