Acanthogobio guentheri is a species of cyprinid fish endemic to China. It is only found in the Yellow and Sinin Rivers, and is the only recognized species in its genus. It reaches up to a length of 20 cm.^[1]

Named in honor of the German-born British ichthyologist and herpetologist Albert Günther (1830–1914).^[2]

Acanthogobio, manji rod subtropskih riba iz porodice šarana čiji je jedini predstavnik Acanthogobio guentheri iz kineskih rijeka Huang He i Sinin. Opisao ju je 1892. ruski zoolog S. M. Herzenstein.

Acanthogobio guentheri je manja bentopelagijska riba koja naraste maksimalno 20 centimetara a zadržava se na riječnom dnu.^[1], i endem je u Kini.

Rodu Acanthogobio nekada su pripisivane i vrste Hemibarbus longirostris (Acanthogobio longirostris Regan, 1908), Hemibarbus labeo (Acanthogobio oxyrhynchus Nikolskii, 1903) i Hemibarbus maculatus (Acanthogobio paltschevskii Nikolskii, 1903) i sve pripadaju potporodici Gobioninae.

Acanthogobio guentheri is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van eigenlijke karpers (Cyprinidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1892 door Herzenstein.

刺鮈（学名：Acanthogobio guentheri）为輻鰭魚綱鯉形目鲤科刺鮈屬的鱼类，是中国的特有物种。分布于黄河水系等，體長可達20公分。该物种的模式产地在西宁。^[1][2]
