Colonies. With a growth rate of 9-12 mm at 40°C; aerial mycelium composed of colourless, septate hyphae, on which clavate "aleurioconidia" are formed. Conidia. Borne laterally, terminally or in an intercalary position on the aerial hyphae, spherical or broadly clavate, colourless or light brown, thin-walled, 4-8 × 3-5 μm (sometimes referred to as "chlamydospores"). Ascomata. 60-120 μm diam., with a wall of textura epidermoidea and covered by dark hyphae. Asci. Evanescent, not observed. Ascospores. 8-12 × 5-6.5 μm. Paraphyses. Not observed.
