Pileus thin, convex, subumbilicate, gregarious or subcespitose, 1.2-2 cm. broad; surface glabrous, hygrophanous, blackish-brown when moist, grayish-brown and shining when dry: lamellae rather broad, subdistant, adnate, grayish-white, often transversely veiny above and venosely £onnected : spores nearly globose, about 5 /x: stipe equal, hollow, glabrous, grayishbrown with a whitish mycelioid tomentum at the base, about 2.5 cm. long, 1-2 mm. thick.
Type locaI/ITy: Gansevoort, New York.
Habitat: On decaying wood and mossy sticks in woods.
Distribution: Maine and New York.
