Aloe jucunda is 'n bedreigde dwergaalwyn afkomstig van Somalië.
Die plante is stamloos of met baie kort stamme; suierlote ontstaan gereeld en die plante vorm dan digte groepe tot 50 cm breed. Die blare-rosette is gewoonlik nie hoër as 35 cm nie. Daar is gewoonlik nie meer as 12 blaartjies nie en hulle is omtrent 4 cm lank en 2-5 cm breed. Die boonste vlak van die blaartjies is gewoonlik groen as die plantjies hoofsaaklik in die skaduwee groei, maar word ligbruin in skerp sonlig. Dit het ook talle liggroen tot wit kolle. Die onderste vlak het ’n donkergroen kleur en is ook gevlek. In die middel van die onderste vlak van die blaar tref mens 'n paar ligbruin hakies aan. Daar is klein rooi-bruin dorinkies op die rande van die blare. Die bloeiwyse is enkelvoudig en omtrent 33 cm hoog. Die blomblare het ’n diep-pienk kleur. Die filamente is lemoengeel.[2]
In Somalië word hulle gewoonlik op kalksteengrond aangetref en wel op noordelike hellings. In Johannesburg blom hulle gewoonlik in Januarie.

Die sukkulenten Laubblätter sind dunkelgrün, bis zu 4 cm lang und 2 bis 5 cm breit. Sie weisen zahlreiche durchscheinende Flecken auf und ihr Rand ist mit einer Reihe von etwa 2 mm langen Zähnchen besetzt.
Der Blütenstandsschaft weist eine Länge von etwa 35 cm auf. Die röhrenförmigen Blüten besitzen blassrosa bis kräftig pink gefärbte Blütenhüllblätter.
Aloe jucunda besiedelt Trockenwälder und ist endemisch im Gaan-Libah-Schutzgebiet im Norden Somalias verbreitet. Sie wächst auf Kalkstein in Höhenlagen von 1060 bis 1680 Metern. Die Erstbeschreibung erfolgte 1953 durch Gilbert Westacott Reynolds in Journal of South African Botany, Kirstenbosch, Band 19, S. 21–23.

Aloe jucunda can reach a height of about 35 cm. It has shiny, glossy, triangular, dark green leaves, usually about twelve, flecked with pale green spots, up to 4 cm long and 2–5 cm wide, with triangular teeth on the margins.[2]
The inflorescences are single cylindrical clusters, about 35 cm high. The flowers are pale pink or coral pink, 20–30 mm.
This species is native to northern Somalia. A. jucunda occurs only in dry forests on limestone at altitudes from 1060 to 1680 meters, within a very restricted range about 30 km across on the Gaan Libah plateau.[1]
Due to its narrow range, occurrence in only three locations, and the continuing degradation of its habitat, A. jucunda is currently classified as critically endangered by the IUCN.[1]
In its native range, it is used to treat wounds, burns, and digestive problems, as well as being used as a diuretic.[3]
In cultivation, it prefers soil with a pH of 5.5–6.5, and may be grown outside in the US in hardiness zone 11.[4]
