Globular umbrella with thick jelly, with short broad marginal lappets; stomach on broad peduncle; 10-14 stomach pouches, wide quadratic with rounded angles, more than twice as wide as septa between them; well-developed peripheral canal system; 10-14 primary tentacles arising only short distance above umbrella margin; no ectodermal pads below bases of tentacles; three sensory clubs on each marginal lappet; short, oval otoporpae; umbrella up to 18 mm wide.

Cunina globosa is een hydroïdpoliep uit de familie Cuninidae. De poliep komt uit het geslacht Cunina. Cunina globosa werd in 1829 voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Eschscholtz.
