Pycnia hypophyllous, very abundant, scattered among the aecia or preceding them, large, papilliform, immersed or somewhat raised above the surface, quite conspicuous, honeyyellow, becoming darker, globoid, 120-145 m in diameter; ostiolar filaments agglutinated into a column 80-100 ^u high.
