They are native to Piauí, Roraima, Amazônia, Pernambuco, Mexico, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Norte, Rio De Janeiro, Mata Atlântica, SãO Paulo, Bahia, and Cerrado. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Honey bee.
