Adiantum tenerum (Fan Maidenhair) is a species of perennial herb in the family Pteridaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to U.S. Virgin Islands, Eastern North America, Caatinga, Cerrado, The Contiguous United States, Ceará, Puerto Rico, and US Minor Outlying Islands. They have compound, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 25 m. They have alternation of generations.
