Adiantum (Maidenhair Fern) is a genus of herb in the family Pteridaceae. They are native to Alaska, The Contiguous United States, US Minor Outlying Islands, Canada, Western North America, U.S. Virgin Islands, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Individuals can grow to 11 m. They have alternation of generations.
