Florida Hopbush

Dodonaea viscosa (Florida Hopbush) is a species of shrub in the family Sapindaceae. They are native to Alagoas, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, Pará, Rio Grande Do Norte, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, Ceará, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Sul, ParaíBa, Espirito Santo, Amazônia, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, SãO Paulo, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, Minas Gerais, The Hawaiian Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, RondôNia, Paraná, Pernambuco, Cerrado, and Maranhao. They have white flowers and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Orchisia costata. Individuals can grow to 15 feet.
