Sphyrapicus varius (Yellow Bellied Sapsucker) is a species of birds in the family woodpeckers. It is found in the Neotropics, the Palearctic, and the Nearctic. It is an omnivore. Individuals can grow to 55 g. Reproduction is dioecious. Sphyrapicus varius relies on flight to move around.
