Vernonia noveboracensis (L.) Willd.

Vernonia noveboracensis (New York Ironweed) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Eastern North America, North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and purple flowers. Individuals can grow to 6.6 feet.
