Epinephelus coioides (Estuary Cod) is a species of bony fishes in the family sea basses. It is listed as near threatened by IUCN. It is a solitary planktotroph. Individuals can grow to 21889 g. Epinephelus coioides has sexual reproduction; it is a protogynous hermaphrodite. Reproduction is iteroparous and oviparous.
