Günther'S Ocellated Flounder

Pelvic fin on ocular side slightly elongate, extending to near the tip of the isthmus, the distance between the tip of the isthmus and the insertion of the pelvic fine subequal to the length of the pelvic fin base. Second ray of the pelvic fin on ocular side opposite to the 1st on the blind side. In male, the 12th to 18th dorsal rays and the 1st to 8th anal rays greatly elongated into filaments (Ref. 559). Soft ray count of pectoral fin refers to that on ocular side.

分布於印度-西太平洋區，包括台灣及日本等。台灣主要分布於東北部海域。

較罕見之魚種，偶為底拖網捕獲。

體呈卵圓形，扁平，上眼前方背緣弧形；兩眼均在左側；眼間隔稍寬。下眼稍前於上眼。頭中型。口中型；上頜延伸至下眼前下方，但未達中央；上下頜齒各具一列，齒小而尖。鰓耙適中而尖。鱗中型易脫落，眼側被櫛鱗，盲側被圓鱗；側線鱗數95-113。背鰭軟條數85-97，雄魚第12-18軟條延長如絲；臀鰭軟條71-81，雄魚第1-7軟條延長如絲；胸鰭短於頭長；左右腹鰭不對稱，盲側腹鰭之基底僅略長於眼側，盲側第1軟條恰與眼側之第2軟條相對；尾鰭圓型。體呈棕色，體側散佈一些小黑點；背鰭和臀鰭的基底上下方各具一串大型暗色圓弧斑，體中部另具一列圓點；盲側灰白色。

主要棲息於大陸棚砂泥質的海域。肉食性魚類，主要捕食底棲性的甲殼類或是其它種類的小魚。
