Salvelinus fontinalis is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family Salmonidae. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Nearctic, Canada, Great Lakes, and United States. They are carnivores. Individuals can grow to 86 cm. They have sexual reproduction. They rely on swimming and sub-carangiform to move around.
