American Nightshade

Phytolacca americana (American Nightshade) is a species of perennial herb in the family Phytolaccaceae. They are succulent plants. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Canada. They have simple, broad leaves, white flowers, and berries. Flowers are visited by Lasioglossum nymphale, Eumenes fraternus, Gray Hairstreak, and Lasioglossum tarponense. Individuals can grow to 2.3 m.
