Awaous jayakari (Boulenger 1888)

Amphidromous, occurring in fresh and brackish waters, mostly rivers and estuaries. Inhabits pools and running water, usually over sandy substrate into which it may bury itself with only the head and eyes exposed (Ref. 110099).
