Trillium sessile (Toadshade) is a species of perennial herb in the family Melanthiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and berries. Flowers are visited by Myolepta varipes, Pearl Crescent, Clusia lateralis, and Rhamphomyia hirtipes. Individuals can grow to 0.2 m.
