Batis dimorpha

Aderyn a rhywogaeth o adar yw Batis Malawi (sy'n enw gwrywaidd; enw lluosog: batisiaid Malawi) a adnabyddir hefyd gyda'i enw gwyddonol Batis dimorpha; yr enw Saesneg arno yw Malawi puff-back flycatcher. Mae'n perthyn i deulu'r Llygaid-dagell (Lladin: Platysteiridae) sydd yn urdd y Passeriformes.^[1]

Batis dimorpha^[a] är en fågelart i familjen flikögon inom ordningen tättingar.^[1] Den betraktas oftast som en del av kapbatis (Batis capensis)^[3] men urskiljs sedan 2016 som egen art av Birdlife International, IUCN och Handbook of Birds of the World.^[1] Den kategoriseras av IUCN som livskraftig.^[1]

Fågeln förekommer i södra Afrika och delas in i två underarter med följande utbredning:^[4]

• B. d. sola – norra Malawi och lokalt i östra Zambia (Nyikaplatån samt bergsområdena Mukuta och Mafinga)
• B. d. dimorpha – bergstrakter i centrala och södra Malawi samt närliggande norra Moçambique (berget Namuli)

Populationen i Moçambique kan utgöra en egen underart.^[4]
