體延長，近似圓柱狀，尾部略側扁；頭稍小而似尖錐形。吻尖而平扁。眼中大，上側位，稍突出於頭背緣。口中大，略傾斜；上頜略短於下頜；頜齒呈絨毛狀齒帶，外側列較大，下頜前端具犬齒8枚；鋤骨具齒，腭骨具齒。體被細鱗，側線簡單而完全；側線鱗數61-65。背鰭連續，硬棘部與軟條部間無缺刻，具硬棘V，軟條23；臀鰭硬棘I，軟條19；胸鰭軟條18-19；尾鰭圓形。體呈黃褐色，體側側線上方具6-7條褐色縱帶。背鰭硬棘部暗色；背鰭軟條部具黃褐色縱帶；尾鰭上葉另具黃褐色至淡黑色橫紋。以前所記載之米馬擬鱸(/Parapercis
mimaseana/)為本種之異名。

Parapercis striolata és una espècie de peix de la família dels pingüipèdids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.[7]
Descripció
- Fa 20 cm de llargària màxima[8] i presenta un punt de color negre a la part espinosa de l'aleta dorsal.
- 4-5 espines i 23 radis tous a l'aleta dorsal i 1 espina i 18-21 radis tous a l'anal.
- Absència de franges fosques al cos.
- 6 dents canines a la part davantera de la mandíbula superior.
- Les escates de la part dorsal del cos tenen una taca marró i formen fileres longitudinals.[9][10]
Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica
És un peix marí, batidemersal (entre 200 i 310 m de fondària)[9] i de clima tropical, el qual viu al Pacífic occidental central (des del Japó[11][8][12][13][14] fins a Austràlia[15]) i l'Índic oriental (Austràlia[16][17][18][19] i Indonèsia[18][9]), incloent-hi la Xina continental[20] i Taiwan.[21][22][23][24][4][10][25]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans.[10]

Vissen Parapercis striolata is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van krokodilvissen (Pinguipedidae).[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1913 door Weber.
De soort staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2009. De omvang van de populatie is volgens de IUCN stabiel.[1]

分布
本魚分布於中西太平洋區，包括中國、台灣、澳洲、日本、印尼等海域。
特徵
本魚體近圓柱形，沒有在身體上的深色的橫帶。身體的背部部份的鱗片與眼眶後的頭部有一個褐色斑點，側線明顯。尾鰭基部上方有一個大的黑色斑點，背鰭硬棘4至5枚；背鰭軟條23枚；臀鰭硬棘1枚；臀鰭軟條18至21枚，體長可達20公分。
生態
本魚屬於底棲性肉食魚類，以小型無脊椎動物和小魚為食。
經濟利用
可食用，但多以下雜魚處理。
